Photos from our visit to the orphanage where Leah spent her first nine months (top to bottom): 1) Leah with Yiwu Social Welfare Institute Director Li Yan Cai and Deputy Director He Guo Hua; 2) Near the Institute gate where she was found; 3) With the director of the local kindergarten, Chen Chun Hua, who works closely with the Institute; 4) Leah and Cheryl (with translator Fu Jie) giving He a booklet of photos of Leah’s adoption group; 5) Sorting out our donations; 6) Yiwu Social Welfare Institute alumna Ni Qi with a current resident; 7) Cheryl with the resident; 8) One of the staff with another baby; 9) Ni Qi, 1996.
Thanks so much for sharing your trip...the pictures are wonderful...can't get over the ones at YiWu...I am trying hard not to cry...just overwhelmed w/emotion. Enjoy your time, Libby
This is so awesome...I can't believe that your visiting the orphanage where our girls were all together...The 3 Wimmers are sitting here together... looking at all these pictures and feeling so envious and inspiring us to visit China again...
They're lovely pictures, and it's wonderful to see Leah at YiWu looking so happy and healthy 12 years later. Thank you for posting. I have a picture of Chunmei as a baby at YiWu in a walker just like the one in the last picture of the set. May all these babies go to their families soon.
OMG im sooooo jealous of u all. china looks like so much fun. the pics are awsomeness [my made up word] lol. i miss yah alot [leah, and family]lol. oh and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! well not for china but for us AMERICANS oh yah lol.well have fun, tata.
